The Crysis review doesnt surprise me. I mean, who seriously thought it would score in the high 90s anyway? 92 sounds about right. As for COD4 and Gears, their scores sound about right.

The highest rated game in the mag is Half-Life 2, which recieved 97% from the reviewer.
good scores, IMO COD4 should be scored same as Gears, also good to see Gears is still holding up with latets titles even after 1 year

It has added content, had it been simply the 360's version I doubt they'll have given it AAA.
they review games like they are brand new, even if they are 1 year old ports. the fact that Epic did a good job on the port immediately made them review the game as if it was the original release. They always do that. Anyway, just to reference other scores, they have given classic games scores as follows.
Quake II - 9.7
Half-Life 2 - 9.7
Half-Life - 9.5
Deus Ex - 9.4
Diablo - 8.8
Diablo II - 7.2
System Shock 2 - 9.5
They have gotten much stricter over the past few years though, only giving one score above 9.5, to Bioshock which got a 9.6. They prefer deep stories in their games though so Bioshock was definitely looked well upon.

It got a 98% in PC Gamer US, tying two other games for the highest rated game in their mag..........
Poor final act???/ Wtf and it gets marked down % for that? I think they just love Bioshock and HL2 way too much to give this game the highest score.hongkingkong
Yeah....Bioshock's ending was one of the most dissappointing ones ever. Did they dock off points from Bioshock for that?

No, Microsoft was kind enough to not make PC gamers pay for what they usually get for free, and by "kind enough", I mean what was expected of them. You do have to make an account though, which I guess is the reviewers problem with it.
